The aerial photographer Sergio Loayza shot one of the most sharpest and highly convincing UFO photographs. Recently a case has returned to be part of the main headlines, and it is the image of a metallic-looking disc that has been cataloged as the “ Most convincing UFO photograph in history ”.
A sharp, high-resolution photograph taken from a small plane flying over the jungles of Costa Rica shows a metal disc.
The high-resolution photograph has been called “the most compelling UFO photograph in history.” The image was published only 50 years after this event.
Aerial photography operator Sergio Loayza used a special mapping camera while flying over Costa Rica.
The main task was to measure the land before the construction of a hydroelectric plant near the Arenal volcano, in the northern highlands of the South American country.
As the plane flew over Lake Kot at an altitude of about 3 kilometers, Loaiza took several high-quality images of the lake and surrounding rainforest at 20-second intervals.
Shiny Metal Disc
In one frame, at the 8:25 AM mark, you can see a shiny metal disc that ufologists say looks like a classic ” flying saucer .” The unidentified object appeared to have flown between Loaiza’s Aero Commander F680 twin-engine plane and the ground.
The object is visible only in the 300th frame of the series of photographs, and is not in the previous frame of the film, nor in the one taken immediately after.
No one, neither the pilot nor his three crew members, noticed anything during the flight.
An Authentic Photograph
In 1989, Valli and Haynes wrote “A Photographic Analysis of an Air Disc over Costa Rica” for the Journal of Scientific Exploration :
“THE PHOTO IS AUTHENTIC AND THE OBJECT IS NOT THE RESULT OF ANY MISTAKE. OUR INVESTIGATION ALLOWED US TO OBTAIN THE RESULTS ACCORDING TO WHICH IN THE PHOTO WE CAN OBSERVE AN OPAQUE ANOMALOUS AERIAL OBJECT THAT WAS PHOTOGRAPHED AT A DISTANCE OF NO MORE THAN 3 KM FROM THE CAMERA LENS.
THERE IS NO VISIBLE MEANS OF LIFT OR PROPULSION, AND THERE ARE NO MARKINGS ON THE SURFACE OTHER THAN DARK AREAS THAT APPEAR TO BE NON-RANDOM.”
The 19-page report concluded: The Costa Rican laboratory, which was the first to process the photo, estimates that the disc is almost 67 meters in diameter .
Despite careful analysis by UFO skeptics, Loaiza’s photo has never been denied. Whether it is an alien spacecraft or a trick of the light remains open to debate.
Oscar Sierra said:
“THIS IS SOME OF THE STRONGEST SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE THAT UFOS ARE REAL.”
UAP Media said in a statement that Loaiza’s employers ( Costa Rica’s National Geographic Institute ) asked investigators Richard Haynes and Jacques Vallee , who posted the original photo, not to speak about the incident.
